François Carré, MD - PhD, is Professor of Cardiovascular Physiology and Muscular Exercise at the University of Rennes 1 (France). François is a Cardiologist and the head of the Department of Sports Medicine at the Pontchaillou Hospital of Rennes, assistant director of the Inserm U1099 research unit and former secretary of the sport's cardiology section of the European Cardiology Society (ESC). His research focuses on cardiovascular responses and adaptations to physical training by athletes. In this context he published several articles on the ethnic specificities of athlete's heart. Runner, he participates regularly for the pleasure to long-distance events on road or in trail.
