Dr Reyna Daya is a specialist physician and endocrinologist working in Gauteng. She is a senior clinician in the Department of Internal Medicine and the Head of the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at Helen Joseph Hospital, a tertiary academic hospital attached to the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa. Dr Daya is the current chairperson of SEMDSA (Society of Endocrinology, Metabolism and Diabetes of South Africa). She also does limited private practice as a specialist endocrinologist at the Sandton Medi-Clinic.

Dr Daya is well known regional and local speaker at CMEs. She is also an invited editor to multiple National Internal Medicine and Endocrinology Journals. In addition, Dr Daya sits on National Drug Advisory Boards for Diabetes and other endocrine disorders.

Dr Daya clinical and research interest is in diabetes and thyroid disorders. She is well published in the field of Diabetes and Endocrinology and holds a Masters in Medicine from University of the Witwatersrand. Dr Daya is currently working on multiple diabetes related studies as well as supervising Masters students and a number of publications.
